My Vision
My vision for the Dog Collar is to have a rugged timeless style, allowing the natural beauty of the leather to shine. The medium collar has just the right balance of stitching and weight for a medium size dog, and gorgeous raw edges to showcase the highest of quality leather, teamed with solid brass hardware that will stand the test of time.
These collars are able to be personalised with up to 13 characters - letters and numbers are available. Please leave note at checkout if you would like this option, this option is complimentary.
The Collar
Exquisite full grain leather is used for every Hide Leather piece. This is the highest quality, strongest and most durable leather available, using hides in their full and original state, beautifully unique with all natural markings and layers intact.
I hand select the strongest leather butts for each and every collar to ensure you will have a strong and durable collar to stand the test of time. All of our leather is Australian, tanned in Australia by a beautiful family owned and run business, this is a very special aspect to me.
The Care
Each piece is pre-conditioned, but over time I recommend re-applying a natural conditioner to keep your leather soft and supple. It is a good idea to test in a hidden area first before using a new leather care product as some will change the colour/shade of the leather. As leather is a skin, it can mark if scratched or scraped, a damp cloth will help to rub out any marks.
Hand crafting does take time, but with that comes tradition, unique style and my commitment to each and every piece, creating quality for you to enjoy.
The Packaging
I am passionate about minimising my footprint through life & supporting Australian businesses. It has been very important to me to source all of my packaging from Australia and for it to all be either biodegradable or recyclable, right down to my packing tape and labels. Each Hide Leather Product comes beautifully wrapped and boxed ready to give as a gift or for a lovely treat for yourself.
