My Vision
My vision for The Diary Cover is to be elegantly understated, allowing the natural beauty of the leather to shine. With just the right balance of stitching, weight and gorgeous raw edges to showcase the highest of quality leather.
These covers are able to be personalised on the inside or outside of the cover. With up to 13 characters - letters and numbers are available. Please leave note at checkout if you would like this option, this option is complimentary.
Your timeless leather cover is an A5 size and is perfect for your diary, journal or notebook. It comes with a lined journal inside. The slips inside the cover of each side are perfect for slipping in loose pieces of paper to keep them secure.
Whilst crafting, I get to know each cover and the beautiful natural characteristics. I often find myself excitedly wondering who the piece will find its way to, the places it will go and the adventures it will see!
The Diary Cover
Exquisite full grain leather is used for every Hide Leather piece. This is the highest quality, strongest and most durable leather available, using hides in their full and original state, beautifully unique with all natural markings and layers intact.
I hand select the leather for each and every cover to ensure you will have an heirloom to be passed down through the ages. All of our leather is Australian, tanned in Australia by a beautiful family owned and run business, this is a very special aspect to me.
The Care
Each piece is pre-conditioned, but over time I recommend re-applying a natural conditioner to keep your leather soft and supple. It is a good idea to test in a hidden area first before using a new leather care product as some will change the colour/shade of the leather. As leather is a skin, it can mark if scratched or scraped, a damp cloth will help to rub out any marks.
Hand crafting does take time, but with that comes tradition, unique style and my commitment to each and every piece, creating quality for you to enjoy, that will only get better with age.
The Packaging
I am passionate about minimising my footprint through life & supporting Australian businesses. It has been very important to me to source all of my packaging from Australia and for it to all be either biodegradable or recyclable, right down to my packing tape and labels. Each Hide Leather Product comes beautifully wrapped and boxed ready to give as a gift or for a lovely treat for yourself.
